"BORDERLESS" - ethno jazz concert with VJ

Horia Dumitrache (RO) - clarinet, Emil Biljarski (BG) - keyboard

Horia Dumitrache was born in Suceava, Romania. He performed as soloist and in chamber music ensembles with Pierre Boulez and the Ensemble Intercontemporain Paris, Klangforum Wien, Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Symphonie Orchester Brn. He played in the Philarmonie der Nationen (Germany) 1998-1999 and Philarmonie Orchester Giurgiu (Romania) 1999-2001. His repertoire includes most of the modern and contemporary works for clarinet, as the Clarinet Concertos by Elliott Carter and Franco Donatoni, solo and chamber music pieces by Michaell Jarrell, Brian Ferneyhogh, Pierre Boulez, György Kurtág, Yanis Xenakis, Beat Furrer among others. He is member of the Ensemble Paul Klee in Bern and has lived in Budapest since 2004.

Emil Biljarski was born in Vidin, Bulgaria. He has lived in Hungary for more than 20 year. He plays in several bands and produces some musical projects connected with traditional music of the Balkan region. He has been member of the band „Korai Öröm” since 1994, which is said to be the most important underground band of Hungary in the 90’s. They published several cd-s and gave concerts all over Europe. He also works as a cultural promoter of Hungarian and Eastern European world music.
