TAXIDERMIA / TAXIDERMIA
(fiction, subtitles: English, 2006, 91 min., dir.: György Pálfi)

Taxidermia focuses on three generations of men from Hungary, beginning with a military orderly during the Second World War, moving on to an aspiring speed-eater during the Cold War, and concluding with a taxidermist during modern times. The film is surreal in nature, with elements of dark comedy and horror, notably body horror.

The screening is part of "Welcome to Hungary! - Fathers, Brothers, and Sons in Hungarian Cinema", a film screening series between September 22 and September 25 in the CEU Auditorium. All films will be introduced by film critic, György Báron (University of Theater, Film and Television).
