Chopin Recital with Károly Mocsári

Károly Mocsári is a Hungarian pianist and has been living in Paris for the last few decades. He studied piano and chamber music at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. He won various prizes as a soloist including that of the Liszt Competition in Hungary and the Cziffra Foundation in France in 1986. During his career he has been invited to play with several major orchestras from around the world, such as the London Philharmonia, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Montreal Symphonic Orchestra and the Israel Symphonic Orchestra; he has worked with a number of conductors, among them Youri Bashmet, Zoltán Kocsis, Mstislav Rostropovitch, and Vladimir Spivakov; and he has played in more various prestigious concert halls, such as the Beethovenhalle in Bonn, the Royal Festival Hall in London, the Salle Gaveau and the Théâtre des Champs Élysées in Paris.
