Delalamm

Dávid Lamm's groove gang. The band is using the harmonies and improvisational attitude of jazz to serve genres like hip-hop, r'n'b, reggae and world-music. The musicians are among the finest of Hungary's jazz and groove scene. Their main goal is to approach the above mentioned genres in a unique way to create a musical texture where each of these styles are present with their valuable and dominant features.

Dávid Lamm studied jaz...z at the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy. After finishing his studies he worked for the Hungarian National Theatre, wrote tunes for several film and dance projects and played with a number of musicians in Budapest, including the reggae group Koala, blues band Spo-Dee-O-Dee, ethno-based groove gang HaGesher, trip-hop project Sadant. In the past few years he has been playing and recording with the Elemér Balázs Group, Agi Szalóki, Zoltán Csanyi and Béla Lattmann and formed the Dávid Lamm Trio, playing mostly his own compositions. In 2008 he was awarded the Ablakos Lakatos Dezső scholarship for jazz-performers. His first album, "1st the 1 (...then the other)" came out in 2010.
