Trio Föld + János Ávéd jazz concert

The band was founded in autumn 2008 by Gergely Földi. The initial repertoire of the formation was composed of jazz standards, later more and more new compositions were born and incorporated into the band’s program.

In February 2009 they prepared a promotional CD where we find four songs of their own production. An excellent saxophonist, Miklós Borbély also collaborated on the album – he brought a new flavor to the band sound. Since that event there is always a guest saxophonist at the concerts, currently it is János Ávéd tenor saxophonist.

The band’s style carries features of today’s modern mainstream, but marks of a completely open style appear as well thanks to the renowned István Baló who’s been playing with the band since September 2010. Among their goals we can find further shaping of the original sound somewhere between mainstream and free music.

The band and its members since September 2010:

János Ávéd – tenor saxophone

Gergely Földi – guitar

Péter Aitai – bass

István Baló - percussion

There is no admission charge for the event.
