Opening of Sead Kazanxhiu's "MODEL" Exhibition Reloaded on April 24

Opening of visual artist Sead Kazanxhiu's  "MODEL" Exhibition Reloaded on April 24, Tuesday, at 5 m in the Exhibition Area on the 1st floor Monument Building.
In top of Sead's already exhibited works, 15 more will be displayed. The exhibition will be viewable until May 1st.
Roma musician Lajos Bango will be accompanying the opening with his play.
Sead Kazanxhiu is a 25 year old talented Roma artist, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, Albania, where he developed his own technique inspired by expressive artists. Sead prepared a performance involving 10 models dressed in unique paper clothes - he used his Roma heritage as a way to understand his particular vision of plastic arts, he also believed in nature as a very important part of his work. He is always trying to catch the first moment and emotion that arise from a subject that he sees and hears.
The present exhibition takes life aiming to highlight not only physical, but also spiritual beauty of 14 famous and intellectual Roma personalities (as Esma Redzepova, Robert William or Bronisława Wajs, alias Papusza) who have had great impact on establishing, developing and preserving Roma culture. These portraits from all around the world serve to provide model figures, patterns for Roma and non-Roma young generations so that they can find inspiration and strength from their lives. Not in vain, Sead is opening the exhibition with his father's portrait, the unique  model and example that accompanies every step of his life, regardless of age, the place where he is and the distance between them.
There is no admission fee for the event.
