Art Elsewhere – Workshop of Site-Specific Art Projects

PLACCC Festival was launched in 2008 by the Association Artopolis in order to create a platform for site-specific performance and art in public space. PLACCC aims to introduce new artistic initiatives to the Hungarian public and to inspire and support local artists in creating site-specifically. Artists draw inspiration from well-known sites and objects of our everyday urban existence in order to transform them and re-define them in a refreshing way. They use the city as a stage and invite us to re-discover it with them.

In the morning workshop, six artists intoduce their art projects for PLACCC Festival 2013 by giving a 10-15 mins, video presentations.

The Artists are: Tamás & Emőke (H), Oleg Soulimenko (AT), SPACE (NL), Boross Martin / Artus (H), Jodi Rose (AUS – presented by Kitchen Budapest), Dinamó Művház (H).

In the afternoon, we are leaving CEU to watch the public sound installation by Thor McIntyre-Burnie (UK) and to participate in the Scale 1:5 – a urban musical walk of HOPPart Company.
Presentations will be in English and in Hungarian. Translation will be provided.
Admission is free. However, please sign up for the workshop by sending an email to cac@ceu.hu or nanay.fanni@placcc.hu until September 24, 2012.
