History of the Ensemble / CEU's Artist-in-Residence

Zoltán Fejérvári and János Palojtay, Péter Tornyai, and Tamás Zétényi started playing together while studying at Franz Liszt Academy of Music.

An unusual combination

The somewhat unusual combination of instruments that the Classicus et Universus Ensemble represents shows that the group wasn’t ‘put together’; instead it has developed gradually throughout the years, as a result of shared chamber music classes, and joint performances at various concerts, courses and festivals. They had their first concert as an ensemble in December, 2009 at the Academy of Music. Since then they have performed together at many concerts both at home and abroad, including a live performance on the Hungarian National Radio and a series of concerts in New York.

There is no admission fee for the concert.
