Inspired by Budapest

Photo Exhibition by Kateryna Levchuk (Student in the IRES Department)

"Budapest is a place where the cultures of the world come together as well as tolerance and understanding is born. Coming to Budapest I had the brightest expectations. However, never could I have expected it was going to become so welcoming and dear to my heart. Passing through marvelous quarters of this historic city I feel emerged into the centuries of its victories and grievances. It is a place that embodies different eras and various mindsets, being a chic Austro-Hungarian Empire or a Soviet epoch.

In my project I wanted to show the connection between this city and people who arecoming from all over the world, about their experience and the things they have come to appreciate. For this purpose I took pictures of CEU students in their favorite places of Budapest. These places do not only embody our love towards this city in our personal and intimate way, but also reflect our personalities and feelings."

A special thanks goes to the Alumni Relations Office.
