New Wave and Neo-Avantgarde Cinema Film Club: Blind Chance (Przypadek) from Krzysztof Kieslowski

(1981, 114 min, Polish with English Subtitles)

Witek runs after a train. Three variations follow on how such a seemingly banal incident could influence the rest of Witek's life. Originally filmed in 1981, Blind Chance was suppressed by the Polish authorities for several years until its delayed release in Poland on 10 January 1987.

The screening is related to the Approaches to Counter Cultures seminar led by Gábor Klaniczay and Balázs Trencsényi on Thursday, March 21, 5.20 PM in TIGY Room.

Free entry.
