Romani in watercolors - illustrations exhibition

One of Roma culture’s main foundations is Romani language. Through the exhibition the opportunity to display the beauty of international (based on common agreement) Romani language occurs through illustrations made for the first Hungarian-published international Romani Student’s Book. The aquarelles are made by Erzsébet Tonté, student of CEU’s Roma English Language Program who graduated from Hungarian University of Fine Arts.

The exhibition will be opened by Maria Alina Asavei is an art historian and critic from Budapest (Hungary). Currently, she is a PhD student in Philosophy of Art, at Central European University, working primarily in the areas of art and disability, the politics of aesthetics and Romani art.

The exhibition will be viewable until April 22.

Reception to follow.

Free entry.
