From Cold Pin to Archway
Lecture and talk by Eli Keszler (USA)

Eli Keszler is a composer, percussionist and artist based in New York City. He is the rare artist with a vision, and also the ability to realize it in a way that makes you hear and understand the world in a new, different way. He works with piano wires mounted in galleries, in concert halls or — as in his 2013 installation — on the Manhattan Bridge. Amidst these wires he plays the drums, retaining the intense physicality and ferocious energy. His installations are often accompanied by scores, drawings, diagrams, screen prints and writingsHis installations and visual work have appeared at the Victoria & Albert Museum, South London Gallery, Tectonics Festival (Harpa Hall) Reykjavik, Centraal Museum in Utrecht, Boston Center for the Arts, Barbican - St. Lukes amongst other places. He will talk about his work which began with the Cold Pin project and leads through the Archway installation. These projects and his work since then has dealt with the merging of performance with architectural environments.

The entrance is free.
