The Pecek Lakatos Trio presents exuberant gipsy-jazz. The trio comprises of three members, coming from one of the most renowned Roma Gipsy musical dynasties in Hungary. These talented, young musicians infuse contemporary jazz with their rich musical heritage. The ‘oldest’ member of the band András, one of the best drummers of the new generation of the Hungarian jazz scene, also winner of the Jazz Drummers’ Competition of the Hungarian Radio. The bass player Lakatos Pecek Krisztián fascinated the public in London Jazz Festival in 2004, and their cousin Krisztián, who is also extremely talented, plays with his fresh, free and easy style. They have invited Róbert Zsigmond violinist to join their trio for the Bartók-project.
